We are delighted to be recognised as one of the UK’s most innovative companies in the Logistics UK Awards. This recognition underscores our unwavering commitment to creating visionary solutions that meet the unique needs of our customers.

Driving innovation in a dynamic industry

This accolade is courtesy of our milk app – a web-based application our teams use to plan and execute milk collections for our customers.

The dairy industry sees constant changes as milk volumes fluctuate due to many different factors – the weather, feed availability, and lactation cycles to name but a few. We collect 20% of the UK’s milk from over 2,000 farms. In an industry where margins are tight, it is important that we collect that milk as efficiently as possible.

The milk app, created by an in-house software development team, centralises farm data, enhances route efficiency, reduces CO2 emissions, and minimises planning efforts. The app gives complete visibility and has led to a 17% improvement in planning tasks and 6% reduction in data errors.

About the Logistics UK Awards

The Logistics UK Awards are among the most respected accolades in the British supply chain and logistics sector, celebrating organisations and individuals who demonstrate outstanding performance, innovation, and contribution to the industry. Judged by a panel of senior figures drawn from across the logistics and transport ecosystem, being a finalist in these awards signifies the highest standards of achievement.

Why innovation matters more than ever

The UK logistics industry is under enormous pressure to deliver our goods faster and in more environmentally friendly ways. Innovation is not a luxury; it’s a necessity for resilience and growth. By fostering an environment where new ideas are encouraged, tested, and brought to life, we can be responsive to client needs. The milk app is a perfect example of this – born from an idea of one of our team, it is now a reality which helps all our milk customers.
