We are thrilled to announce that our commitment to sustainable transportation has been recognized once again. For the second consecutive year, we have won the prestigious Amazon Sustainable Mover award.
Received at the Amazon FASTforward event, which promotes the use of sustainable transportation technologies, fuel, and vehicles, we are honoured to be acknowledged as leaders in this field.
Our journey towards this achievement began in 2018 when our Pollock business started supporting Amazon with a middle mile solution. Two years ago, we made a significant shift by transitioning all our trucks to HVO – a renewable fuel powered by hydrogenated vegetable oil. This move was in line with Amazon's sustainability target to be net zero by 2040, and we are proud to support them in this endeavour.
Our dedication to a greener future has made us the number one Amazon carrier in the UK for sustainable transport. The award was collected by Annette Nemethova, our Group Sustainability Lead who said:
